Plagiarism Policy – ASPHER

Policy Overview

01

Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts and abstracts undergo comprehensive plagiarism checks using trusted detection software. This process is designed to:

  • Ensure the originality and authenticity of the submitted content.
  • Detect similarities with previously published works.
  • Verify proper referencing and source attribution.

Submissions that exceed the permissible similarity threshold will not proceed to the peer-review or publication stage.

02

Manuscripts Failing Originality Criteria

If a manuscript does not meet ASPHER’s originality requirements:

  • Authors will be informed of the similarity findings and may be asked to revise and resubmit their work.
  • Revised versions must address all identified issues before further consideration for review or publication.

03

Post-Publication Investigation

If plagiarism or unethical content use is discovered after publication:

  • The paper will be temporarily removed from the ASPHER database and placed under review.
  • For minor or unintentional issues, authors may be permitted to revise and correct citations, subject to editorial approval.
  • In cases of serious or deliberate misconduct, the paper will be permanently retracted, and appropriate academic or indexing authorities will be notified.

04

Consequences of Major Violations

In the event of confirmed academic misconduct or severe plagiarism:

  • The author(s) will be permanently prohibited from submitting to or participating in future ASPHER conferences or publications.
  • Any related certificates, proceedings, or publications will be withdrawn.
  • The incident may be publicly documented, and relevant academic databases will be informed.

05

Self-Plagiarism

Authors must not reuse or repackage their own previously published material without clear citation and acknowledgment.

Self-plagiarism, including duplicate submission or redundant publication, is treated with equal seriousness as copying others’ work.

06

Author Declaration

All submitting authors must provide a Declaration of Originality, confirming that:

  • The submitted work is original and free from plagiarism.
  • All sources and references have been appropriately cited and acknowledged.
  • No portion of the work has been previously published elsewhere without disclosure.
Ethical Commitment

ASPHER retains the right to withdraw, reject, or retract any content found to violate ethical publishing standards at any stage — before, during, or after publication or presentation.

We are dedicated to fostering a transparent, fair, and ethically responsible research environment.
